Hi FH, I was perm banned from your great server a couple weeks ago. I thought it may have been a mistake so I decided to wait a while but it appears I am not cleared to play. I checked the FH sites ban list and I am not on there. Anywhoo, I know that most people are banned because of cheating and I hope that no one thinks that of me. I have been playing on FH for well over a year and I have never had my play be a cause for concern. I am usually a careful player and if I have a spawn kill I always try to apologize for it. Quick condensed background on me: I am a 44-year old career Lt. in the fire dept with 22 years of service and I dont cheat nor know how to cheat, for that matter. I was an admin with a large clan back in the old original COD days, and back then I was pretty decent at picking guys out even though it was a different engine. I play with a Logitech G9X mouse, a Nostromo N52 Speedpad, a 37" LG monitor and an SLi twin 480GTX machine. I will always try and point out someone cheating while playing on your server, along with the other players, to the server admin to always strive for a clean play server. I have never had a problem with my PB GUID to my knowledge. My language is clean and I have always enjoyed playing and bantering with Chet, Friar, Striker, and all the other players. I guess the bottom line is COD4 is my all-time favorite of the COD series, and there aren't a lot of good servers left on an 8-year-old game, and I would never do anything to jeopardize losing access to any of those servers I play in, including this one. P.S.--I noticed Jock that your sig/avatar is of a '67/'68 Mustang...I am also a Ford guy and altho I sold my '65 fastback I still have my old gal, she is a '68 as well, 302 A/C disc brake car and original down to the hubcaps...when is the last time you have seen one of these?? Hey Abe, thanks for taking the time to visit us. I do apologize for your ban, it was deemed an error (on our behalf) shortly after the ban was applied, and as such was disabled as quickly as possible.

Yep! Very nice Abe!! Love that the Cougar is original too! How long have you had it? Mine is mostly original as well! Just a straight 6 3 speed but still fun to drive. Manual everything!

Ah, she's a beauty! Love the candy apple red paint, that color just looks so good on Stangs. Your boy looks like a happy guy, good to see you kept the Mustang love in the family. I made a huge mistake by selling my '65 fastback, wow do I miss that car. We always have one that got away, don't we? She was manual everything as well, I used to stand on the drum brakes and pray I wouldnt blow thru the next 4-way stop, haha. I will be retiring from the Fire Service in June and I am seriously thinking of a new 2015 GT as a little retirement present to myself :cheers: they are so sweet. Altho, there is another car out there that has my undivided attention, and I'm no Mopar guy, but that new 700-HP Challenger Hellcat looks sweet! But Im a blue-oval guy all the way. The guy I buy alot of my Cougar parts is in Oregon, West Coast Classic Cougars in Salem. Dont ever sell that '68, she is sweet! Here is a pic of my fastback...it hurts to just look at her, haha.

I can imagine how you'd miss that fastback!!! Yes, the candy apple red is my favorite color on old Stangs. My car that got away was my high school car, '63 Chevy Impala. It needed a lot of work. I called it my Flinstone's car due to the holes in the floor pans up front. lol I'm more of a Ford guy but it would have been nice to keep a hold of it as it was my first car.
I grew up in Salem, but not familiar with West Coast Classic Cougars. I'm about an hour north now in Portland area and haven't lived there for 30 years though.
I like your idea of a retirement gift to yourself! Congrats! :cheers: As nice as the Challenger Hellcat looks, I'd have to go with the 2015 GT...but I'm sure whatever you decide, you'll enjoy!
Have you ever been to Hot August Nights in Reno? Took my family the past couple years and it is a heck of a car show. Lots of fun. Your Cougar would show well! :)

I like the old mid-60s Impalas, a friend of mine had an SS of those years but it wasnt a 409 car, I think it was a small-block 327 or something like that but it was a cool car. I have had the Cougar since 2000 so about 15 years now. I sold the fastback because I had too many cars including that Terminator Cobra and I was over-extended. So I sold the vintage car that could bring in the most amount of $$. Dumb. First-generation fastbacks are worth so much more now than even 10 years ago. And they are just plain cool. But its great living in the desert southwest because if you can find a local car, chances are it wont have any rust living in a dry climate.
I have heard of Hot August Nights, for sure, thats a legendary show. I would love to take the Cougar up there. A good friend of mine lives up in Vancouver, CA has a '70 Torino 428 Cobra-Jet car, we should all meet up there in the middle! I have been going to the RMMR show the last 12 years, its the Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup and its one of the largest All-Mustang only car shows in the west. Its held every Fathers' Day weekend in June in Steamboat Springs, CO about 2 hrs NW of Denver up in the mountains. Its a whole weekend and they do a poker run, autocross and a show-n-shine. People come from all over the US for it. Thats where the pics of the '04 Cobra are from. Check out RMMR.org for info. They have a "Ford non-Mustang" class I can enter the Cougar in. Its an awesome weekend every year.
If you havent already, grab your boy and go drive a new 2015 GT. I went to my local dealer and drove a GT with Performance Pack and a 6-speed, and that 435-HP 5.0 and the new IRS in the back, holy cow does that new Stang run and HANDLE. They have done a great job on it. But something says I need to wait on the new Shelby GT350...hehe.....
