Title: Spawn camping.
Post by: Proximity77 on September 03, 2019, 12:03:47 pm: I'll start this topic off by saying that this topic is aimed towards anyone who gets upset about spawn camping, watch how 90% of the campers sit on maps and see where the spawns are around them. I circled the spawns in red so you guys can see them in case you're not sure where some spawns are. This way RaeRae doesn't have to pick on any other players again that try and explain them selves in chat. Did I get muted? Yes, did I deserve it? Yes, for the one hour though and not the one week that RaeRae was going to do because she was getting upset with me and couldn't find out how to use the B3 command.

On this picture you can see where I was camping, sitting in the staircase where A LOT of people sit and camp and don't get shit said to them. (red circle)

In this next picture you can see where spawn points are, when I got muted there was 10 people online. Cod4 places people where there is no one, in this case there was lots of other places to spawn so no one spawned in these. In many cases I've already expressed my feelings by saying that I don't kill people that do spawn here unless they turn right around and shoot at me. Even if they do I don't have time to kill them because they have the spawn protection. The spawn in the very back is the only one I go for unless people are flying in the door ways which is also not consider spawn killing. (red circles)

This picture you can see other ways the players can leave the spawns if they are threaten they will be killed. Its your own fault if you turn around and shoot. Its common sense I would think! (red circles)

Next I will show you some very common spots that people sit at ALL THE TIME on crossfire that have spawns in them, that once again... No one says shit all about it.

I could really keep going for just about every other map. The point is; all the maps you have on your servers are tight corners or open areas that are nearly impossible to not "spawn camp" or "troll spawns". Its bullshit you guys are so anal about these rules, unless someone is literally SITTING on a spawn and killing them. Back off their asses and just let them play. Get out of the spectator and get over it. Its call of duty. You guys have a very busy cod4 server thats FFA and hardcore. There is really only a few select FH members that i think understand this or dont care and understand this is an FPS game. Its fast, and shit like this will happen when people move around or camp.

Maybe have a rule that you have to say you have to let someone know you're going to kill them first? lmfao :bananasex:

Post by: jabroni619 on September 03, 2019, 07:46:35 pm: I agree 100% I camp but never look directly at a spawn and the admin response ranges from having zero issues with it (most of them) to issuing bans. The only time I look directly at a spawn is when on the move and i'm passing one, then of course I'm going to do a quick ADS to and try to kill before being killed.

The moderation in the game is hugely inconsistent. If you're a regular and on the admins good side, you can get away with blatant spawn camping, and if you're not, you get bans for camping within the confines of the rules if they can't get you out of there easily enough.

You said yourself that "I don't kill people that do spawn here unless they turn right around and shoot at me", which i highly doubt.

It seems that all of your issues with admins enforcing rules will solve themselves if you just DONT camp in corners watching spawn points.

So camping on the stairs covers not one but two spawns and that position is blocking both their sole exits.

Like I said, people dont spawn there if you read the full post. only when the server is packed. I dont sit in places like that when the server is full.

Okay, but what happens when YOU are that guy? Your first post explains that you like sitting on the staircase, you just want to assure everyone that you totally wont be shooting the people running of of the 2 spawn points that you are actively watching/camping. Right.

But, when we believe a person is sitting there blasting people as they leave the sole exit, then we will warn and go from there. When it comes to bans, those only happen when we have someone who just blatantly will not observe the rules. From my experience, the admin here try to be fair and understanding. We give multiple chances. But, there are times when we have to act. We don't like it, but it's necessary.

I am the same way with all players i see doing something that seems against the rules. IF i see them. It just so happened to be me that caught you. I wasnt picking on you man....it seemed fishy during gameplay so i stopped to spec you and saw what you were doing. Its just a game....in no way was i "upset" or mad at you, theres no point but you took it personal. Sorry you feel this way. I heard you out, and then explained what you were doing was unacceptable and why. Like i do with everyone. In fact most say Im pretty lenient and easy going as an admin. You like to argue, and then you get EXTREMELY disrespectful, hence why i was attempting to mute you when i probably shouldve also warned you or even kicked you for being so disrespectful since it was stirring up a lot of drama on the server. Ive not had to mute very often, i was trying to figure out the command, so another admin on helped me out and muted you for me as he also saw what you were doing on chat.. Its a common problem with you and several admins have had the same issues with you in the past. Follow the same rules and expectations as everyone else and there wont be a problem. Simple. Most people i talk to about their playing techniques receive it pretty well and dont go on a rant like you did. From watching you i can see youre skilled and you dont need to spawn camp to win. Embrace it. Skilled players make the maps even more enjoyable to play but you seem to have major problems with our server's rules and admins.... you DO realize you are free to play ANY server you want, right? If ours is such a problem for you why do you keep returning? The rules arent changing and exceptions arent going to be made for one player who doesnt agree with them.
I can see where youre coming from on some of those popular camping spots you pointed out. Again the ones you were camping in were unacceptable as you return and stay there. Take a kill or 2 and moving on is a bit more tolerable as its considered more like spawn killing rather than camping as long as youre not going from spawn to spawn to spawn on the maps. Either way you know the rules. If its questionable find spots NOT trapping spawns or directly watching them, or try not camping at all. Hopefully this helps...see you in the game.

Post by: Boogie on September 17, 2019, 07:18:09 pm: Well welcome to call of duty LOL there is always going to be spawncampers,trollers etc as long as theres trollers and spawners there will be others coming to those places to get kills plain and simple it is FFA and the name of the game is to get kills to win so as long as a lot of players are in these areas others will go there because thats where the kills are... some people live on it others do it if theyre behind and well some are just stuck there because they cant take two steps out of a spawn LOL the admins here do a good job of getting the blatant ones warned or kicked but this unfortunately is a problem that has been around as long as pc shooter games have been around... i dont complain about them i just go back and kill them theyre easy targets LOL
