Title: Greetings from a tech geek

Greetings,

I just recently finished setting up my laptop with Arch Linux, WINE, Steam, and therefore, Call of Duty 4. With much effort and tweaking, the game runs flawlessly on my system. I decided to register here because I really enjoy playing on your FFA server. It's a lot of fun.

My gaming rig consists of a laptop, a boombox for audio, an HD TV (though sadly I can only use VGA, no HDMI chord!), and my Logitech F710 xbox controller. Although I have never enjoyed actual console gaming, playing CoD 4 with a controller the way I have it setup is absolutely amazing. With my Linux/WINE setup, I can also crank CoD 4's graphics to near max and not melt the laptop. Take that Windows 7/8/10/All versions!

So there you go. I hope to enjoy fragging on your guys awesome FFA server.  :shooting:  :gaming

Oh no, my laptop supports HDMI, and many peripherals (3 USB 2.0 slots, SD card reader, ethernet, headphone/mic, HDMI, VGA, DVD/CD). I just dont have the actual double-ended HDMI chord. The one with two male ends.

For some reason I'm not allowed to post my system specs in code tags. An external link error? Anyhow, I'm running an AMD A4-4300M APU with the Radeon HD 7420G. I love the trinity architecture, and the HP Pavilion G6 brand doesnt bother me one bit. My lpatop is a very hearty and strong laptop too. It has survived violent bus rides, multiple drive wipes because I'm dumb, and being dropped. I also abuse the DVD drive and SD card reader. It even has a numpad, and is roughly 17 inches wide. Therefore, I will never replace it.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I hope to see (and frag) you on the battlefield soon!
