Title: temp ban appeal!
Post by: Hotwire on November 21, 2020, 10:51:30 am
This is Hotwire
on Sat Nov 21 @ 738am
Col.Klink temp banned me for Clay in Spawn in I think BackLot. (the one with the garage area)
There is a spawn at the bottom of the stairs across from garage. My clay is inside the building, not outside in the spawn area. On must crawl into the window to set it off! Ive been playing with you guys for a longtime now and have never had a problem in that corner. What gives?

Hi Hotwire Thx  for coming to forum, As for the room u talk about across from the garage the window u go thro yes there is a spawn outside at the bottom of the stairs but there is a spawn inside  that room to. And it was not backlot map that I tb u, it was Broadcaster map , At the bottom of the metal stairs  where the aircon ducting  is at the top,   As I saw u put a clay more or less in the entrance of the door way facing out not along the wall as u tried to show me second time around, any player coming out of that spawn would have set it off, I know there are two doorways but  I would  think that it would also sett it off . I should have  put spawn trapping instead of clay in spawn, but the reason i tb u is for being argumentative with me it was upsetting the other players  they just wanted to play , just Think more carefully were u put your clays m8

Thank guys - the ban was for one hour so let’s leave it there I suggest.

The next few points are not necessarily directed at you Hotwire...but it is a little education for all of us regarding spawn clays: -

1.  No clays in a spawn location.  It doesn't matter which way it faces, at the spawn or away from the spawn. Be sensible about it....a clay just a few steps away from a spawn is asking for trouble, so don't incite the trouble.
2.  Sometimes players justify it because they plan on camping in the spawn and the clay is "protecting them".  That is not allowed.
3.  There has to be a way to leave the spawn without being trapped by the clay. If there is only one way out of the spawn and a clay is placed blocking the only exit, that is not allowed.
4.  If there are two exits from a spawn and they can exit safely in one direction, a clay placed around the corner from a spawn is allowed. Keep point No.1 in mind.

Remember the key is, is there A WAY they can LEAVE the spawn WITHOUT triggering a clay?
