Title: innocence

61673   Finn   Ban   Tuesday, 08/04/2014 (17:57)   permanent   cheats

There's all the information on my ban. I have been playing on forgotten heroes for at least a year, likely two, and have never had any problem with it. I have never cheated and i never would cheat. It is a fun server to play on and i would enjoy continuing to play it, but i can't with this unexplained ban. Thank You

can you please explain this? You were caught by punkbuster on our server. (if this is not your guid, you may want to purchase a new one)

i do not understand. I don't know what violation has been made. I promise you I've never hacked on your server. I'm not sure if there is a hack on my computer, because my siblings also could use it. I'll search through the files and delete any potential hack. I just don't understand what punk buster banned me for. I wouldn't forfeit my opportunity to play on Forgotten Heroes by using a hack, i swear. Your ban system has always been good from my experience, i just don't fully understand why i was banned. Thank You

Someone using your keycode/guid hacked on our server and punkbuster picked it up.

Regardless of who's using the key or who hacked on it, we have to ban the key.

So there is no way to lift the ban then?

I was going to suggest that you appeal the ban on punkbuster but i see it was already denied.

If it wasn't you, you could buy your own game and get a new key and play.

Well this seems to be happening with most servers i join. I will be allowed to play with no problems for a couple of hours, then i randomly get kicked, and when i attempt to rejoin it says i'm permanently banned. So.. It seems i need a new keycode and also to clean my PC.

Are these servers you are getting kicked from running punkbuster? It seems like it may be detecting the hack on your computer and then kicking you for it... but thats just a guess

Yes mitsurugi i live in idaho but i don't really ever go to kansas lol sorry. It seems that all the servers i get banned from are running punkbuster. I tried to delete everything that could be a potential hack on my computer but after i did that i still got banned from another server. So i guess i'll do a full PC scan and see what threats come up. Hopefully by deleting them i won't get banned by punkbuster anymore.

IF your Banned by punkbuster then any server running or streaming to punkbuster will auto ban you, if an admin looks up your GUID on the punkbuster website and sees your dirty then its their decision to ban you on there servers.

i would suggest you visit www.punkbuster.com (http://www.punkbuster.com) and take it up with them.

Just to make it sort to the point spend 20 bucks on steam and get you new cd key you're screwed. Either you hacked or someone got your cd key, because punkbuster doesn't care.

The ban in question: http://www.pbbans.com/mbi-viewban-83da4ef7-vb339789.html (http://www.pbbans.com/mbi-viewban-83da4ef7-vb339789.html)

Violation was flagged on our server, from an IP located in the same city as Craze.

The violation was an MD5 scan, related directly to scan parameters provided by PBBans.

The ban was appealed and denied at PBBans, this means that the MD5 signature unique to the file (5B8E4DDE37F1761685A9364BF9A2B687) is an exact match to a cheat-file signature PBBans maintains in their database.

Even Balance has no interest in the ban, as it was not an Even Balance violation (http://www.pbbans.com/info-center-pbviols.html). Since the PBBans ban was already appealed, there is nothing else to be done.    :popcorn
