I got COD4 by downloading it on App Store. It's on Aspyr platform. I just discovered that Aspyr doesn't support Mods, hence I can't find the Modwarfare on my Mod menu... Tough it seems there's a way to solve it, but I just don't waste my time with such manipulations or mess entirely the game.

So, it seems that I can record, but I will be unable to playback...
Indeed, when I open the multiplayer and go into Mod section, I don't have "Modwarfare" option needed to playback demo...
I want to play my role of admin correctly but, being unable to be sure to post the right demo on the forum (and/or report it to Punkbuster) limit me a lot.
Anyone having a Mac and downloaded the game through AppStore (Aspyr) have the simple way to solve the problem? I'm not a computer wizard...
Thanks!
Oh, I almost forgot: I'm Wrath by the way, I changed my name for something reflecting more my... personality! :loco:

oops I forgot :
0) in your modwarfare folder create a demos folder and put your demo in
(tested with windows xp, vista, 7 and 8)
try with mac (if you find your modwarfare folder :) )

I think that my game files are just all messed up.
Here's the path: Contents > Call of Duty 4 Data > Mods > Modwarfare
But, IG, I don't have "ModWarfare" in my menu... Even if I put the demos in the file "Modwarfare".

A guest that the entire path is wrong, at some point...

Sorry Mits, I've tried the "PC way" and doesn't work...
The very best would be, as you said, that a Mac user, who purchase the game through App Store, and is able to play demos show me the right path and/or post here his mod ware folder so I'll be able to install it manually... :popcorn

Ok... This f :censored: cking demo recording thing is driving crazy. :worthy:  :loco:
Soon, I'll bring my computer in shooting range... :shooting: :shooting: :shooting: :shooting:
I've tried with help of Mits and Khaleesi to get it working on my Mac, don't work.
I've paid 10 bucks (it's not a lot of money, but it pissed me off) to download the PC version of COD4 on my old crappy laptop... And, even if I've read the "how's to" made by Apoc, downloaded COD4 player, etc. etc. It's still not working! @#@$#??$?!!!
So, before I get institutionalized, I give up.
Sorry, but if I catch someone cheating, if there's no other admin around, I'll simply write down the name, simple as that.
P.S. Thanks for the help anyway!

Based on your screenshot, you didn't make the 'ModWarfare' folder in your User directory.
Now in order for a Mac user to play back the demos, you must make new directories in this location:
[Retail Version] /Applications/Call of Duty 4/Call of Duty 4 Data/Mods/ModWarfare/demos/
[Mac App Store Version] /Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Call of Duty 4/Mods/ModWarfare/demos/
Place w/e demo you are trying to watch in the new directory, load CoD4 MP with ModWarfare, then open console and type:
/demo <demoname>.dm_1
For example if the demo name is fhdeadpool, you would enter:
/demo fhdeadpool.dm_1
I want to point out that even if you don't have the mod files, the playback still works (just tested on my mac by deleting the .iwd and and .ff files related to the mod). For reasons I can't explain, the Mac application can not play/find demos located in the /main/demos directories. By loading a mod (even one without mod files), you are changing the the 'fs_game' setting to 'mods/modwarfare'. The application then has no issues finding your /demos directory that you create.
For those that are OCD, I have attached an archived ModWarfare directory located within my Call of Duty 4 application on my Mac. All I did was copy the mod from my Windows install a few years ago, so any ModWarfare folder will do the trick.
