So I'm getting fps lag on crossfire, like bad, its suppose to stay at 250, i know its not the gpu because I have a gtx 780, and i know its not the hdd because i recently got a new ssd. can it be my ram or cpu thats bugging out on me?
like what happens is that sometimes ill play and the whole thing just stopps for like 1/10th of a second, its not really noticeable but it will screw up your aim and its really frustrating, Cant play on crossfire anymore :/
I have the same problem when im playing mw2 spec ops, and there im running 500fps buit the whole thing just stops, and sometimes it even stops for a whole seconds.
Dunno what to do about this.
GPU: msi gtx 780
CPU: amd phenom 1090T 6 core (3 years old)
RAM: i have no idea but its 3 years old and, 8 gig, 1333Mhz.
PSU: corsair 750W
im only really noticing it on CoD because everythign has to be perfect, but on csgo im average like 120 fps. which is terrible.
any help would be appreciated. thanks!

PSU could be under powered for the card i had an XFX 850w and that was not enough to run my 7990 GFX card . i think the GTX 780 is power hungry 2 i would look at an 850w or above PSU

What are your CPU & GPU temps when you put them under stress?

When playing mw2 my GPU is on average 50 C.
CoD4 average 47 C
BF4 average 67 C
I cant check how much my CPU is for some reason except when I enter BIOS. and the fan is always at max speed and its 47/50 C when only being in BIOS, so I'm guessing its a lot higher when playing games.
The fan is also very annoying to listen to, its so freaking loud, running at 4700 RPM.
I recently got a new PSU and GPU. I had the same problem with ,my old ones, thinking this would fix it but it didn't.

What program are you using? Screenshot looks very similar to HWMonitor, which is what I was going to ask you to try. :poop: If its not HWMonitor, then give it a try: http://fhclan.com/forum/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=12
With your CPU fan always running at max, first check where it is plugged in. If it is plugged into a 3 pin plug, it will always run at max. If its plugged into the designated CPU fan 4 pin plug, then the issue is definitely heat related.
My initial guess is you have some sort of heating inefficiency related to your CPU. It may be as simple as clearing the dust collection on the heat sink. When is the last time you cleared your machine of dust?
There are a few more things to try, but this is a good starting point if it hasn't already been done.

I cleared my PC for dust like 2 and a half weeks ago, so it should be pretty clean.

Next thing I would look at would be thermal paste, especially if you're using the stock heat sink that came with the processor, since its seen 3 years of heavy usage from gaming etc.

Solution: Don't play crossfire 'cos it's a bad map anyways lol :fingerwag:
