hi guys

i've been permenatly ban from the server, and i would like you to rethink about it,

i'm a regular player on this server, which is my favourite for a while, i never cheat (i dont know how to do it) i'm not agressive or never insulted people, i'm just the guy asking you sometime how time is remaining (yeah i know it's boring haha) cause i have a problem with my tab button, when i press it there is a add...dont ask where it comes frome i dont know...

so i would like you to reconsider my ban, cause i really love this server and i would be really sad not to be able to play anymore on this server...

i can assure you i do my best to not press this devil tab button !!

last time i press it but it by error, and nox i m not just kicked out, but ban...please accept my request

Footix,

Thank you for taking the time to stop by our forum.  I can understand why you were banned by Apoc. 

Thank you for explaining your problem with your tab button.  Please confirm I am understanding you correctly.  Whenever you push the tab button to check the time or the score, this add/spam is sent to all:  WWW.FREETS3.OVH ^2 Create You Free TeamSpeak 3 Server => visit www freets3 ovh create you free teamspeak 3 server?

Never heard of this problem before. It sounds to me like someone put this spam as a bind on your tab key.  I tried to see if i could add a bind to tab key and it doesn't seem to work for me.

There are two things you can try. Here is my suggestions.

FIRST

1. In game, push exc
2. push controls
3. push Set Default Controls

See if that removes the spam from your tab key.  Try it out in another server.

If it works, great!  If not try this:

SECOND

Assign the Show Objectives/Score (which is by default the tab button and it shows the time too) to a different button.

1.  In game, push esc
2.  Controls
3.  Interact
4.  click on Show Objectives/score
5.  Assign it to something other than the tab key.... like F1 or something

Try doing that and test it out on another server and let me know if moving the score/time to another key, keeps the spam from displaying.

I'd like to unban you but want to make sure this is resolved first. 

Reply here once you have tried one or both of the above and let me know the results.

HI Footix thank you for stopping by the forums and welcome to the forums :)

if you open console in game and type /unbind tab and press enter i think that will delete the spam advert. or you can go to where your cod4 main folder is go to your player profile and you will see a .cfg file . copy that file to your desktop and open it with something like notepad. have a read through and you will find the advert and just delete it. close notepad and save he edited file.  then just copy it back to your cod player profile and all should be good.

if you have any problems just let me know. and we can get it sorted out for you via team viewer or by chat here.

se si console aperta in gioco e il tipo / scheda unbind e premere INVIO penso che cancellerà l'annuncio spam. oppure si può andare dove la cartella principale COD4 è andare al tuo profilo giocatore e vedrete un file .cfg . copiare il file sul desktop e aprirlo con qualcosa come blocco note. hanno una leggere e troverete l'annuncio e sufficiente eliminarlo . chiudere Blocco note e salvare lui curata file. poi basta copiarlo di nuovo al vostro profilo di merluzzo e tutto dovrebbe essere buona .

se avete problemi fammelo sapere . e possiamo farlo ordinati per voi via TeamViewer o via chat qui .

ancora una volta il benvenuto ai forum .

e Jock io non ero a conoscenza che avevo perm lui vietato fino ad ora. era destinato solo per essere una temperatura .

Here's what I know about the freets3 spam:




footix, thank you for removing the bind on your Tab key. You can regain the normal behavior of the tab key (scoreboard) by inputting this in your console:
Code Select
/bind TAB "+scores"

It would also be a good idea to check your current bind list and check for any other keys that may be bound to publish that spam:
Code Select
/bindlist


If you're unsure, please feel free to post the full copy of your config_mp.cfg as an attachment on these forums and one of us would be able to take a look and let you know if we see anything nefarious in the config.

basque country can be in France or Spain ... but François sounds french (je crois)

i just tried to unban you server side and it said no players banned by the name footix

i also checked our logs and it also says your not banned.

i just tried to unban via guid and got a response of "OK"

give it a try and let us know bud
