Title: Problem w/ Punk Buster

Hi guys -

I'm brand new to the world of Steam.  I downloaded COD4 just a couple weeks ago which of course is making me rebuild my rank, etc...

However, I'm having a weird problem.  PunkBuster never seems to be enabled when I launch thus kicking me the moment I go into multiplayer mode.

This causes me to have to go into the options and enable it every single time I play and it's a real pain in the butt.

I recall when I downloaded COD4 form Steam that there was some kind of error about PB which I sorta brushed off, but now it seems to be related somehow.

Any thoughts as to why it's doing this and how to resolve?

If you're playing in our FFA1 server this shouldn't affect you (my steam install does the same thing). If you join our TDM, Promod, or any other server that has enabled PunkBuster though, that's where you would have problems.

Steam uses the PBSetup installer tool, EvenBalance removed the CoD4 install files roughly a year after they stopped supporting PunkBuster for the game.
