As obviously you guys don't like to explain your actions on the server and anything you don't want to hear results in muting players I have to ask here. Not a bad way to make people register at your clan page ;)
What did I just get warned for twice? Spawn nading or something? I don't get it. FH Lonewolf was observing me for half an hour or so (personal issues? I don't know anyone on the server so what's the matter?), maybe he can explain. Both situations that resulted in a warning were the same: I saw the opponent, after that I threw my grenade. Nothing wrong with that. If I hit a spawn point with that that is nothing you should warn as I did not throw it there by chance. I don't even know where all spawn points are. I never insult anyone, I don't camp at my spawn, I don't shoot at other spawn points without seeing an opponent - no idea why there has to be a reason to warn a player like me. I am an adult looking for some fun after work, I am not interested in power games. Your rule to treat others with respect should count for yourself as well. If I am not allowed to win some rounds as a foreign player and you are trying to get rid of me for random reasons, ok. You could observe ANY player and waiting long enough there will ALWAYS be a grenade hitting a spawn or spawn camping a few seconds too long - some spawn points are facing each other... Observing me that long and warning me twice for no reason looks like a personal hunt and if there is a reason for that I'd gladly like to know. Thanks.

hi polo you were warned for spawn nading, which is against our rules. nothing personal as you may think. and I was not watching you only for a half hour. I switch from player to player each time I got to you I saw you nade a spawn. there is no spawn nading allowed unless someone is firing from the spawn. when you come back please be careful of spawns FH-lonewolf

As I have said above, I did not throw grenades at spawns to get a kill by chance, I always aimed at an opponent...
Something else: Why is "spawn nading" against the rules in the first place? You do allow spawn killing - does it matter if I do it with a grenade or bullet? Furthermore, there is that spawn protection thing for a few seconds. Spawn nading does not have any effect anyway then (because players are invincible) except against spawn campers that stay there for too long (which is against the rules). Does that make sense?

Hi Polo and thanks for your post. I know what you are saying about the spawn protection, however there is a little more to it than meets the eye.
The spawn protection is quite well set up and is not just based on protecting you 5 seconds from when you spawn. Using any of these functions disables it immediately: throwing a frag, using the knife, moving 300 inches from spawn, shooting, 5 seconds of elapsed time or raising your weapon and aiming down the sites.
In other words if a nade is thrown into a spawn, you spawn and raise your weapon immediately.....the nade will kill you straight away regardless of a spawn time < 5 seconds. A lot of us do aim down the sites pretty well as we spawn.

Aaaaaah thank you very much for that explanation about the spawn protection. I have always asked myself why I don't have that protection at all while a lot of my enemies seem to have it. Must be because I always do one of your mentioned moves immediately, most probably aiming or running too far :shooting:

Oh well, every now and then there is another "admin" around warning and kicking for random reasons. Anyone able to explain "spawn raping and throwing random grenades"? Since when is it not allowed (and against what rule exactly is it) to throw a grenade by chance (not at a spawn though)? What is "spawn raping"? I did not spawn camp, I did not spawn kill, I played a nice round with an awesome record of 25 / 3 or something when some random guy decided to warn and kick me as everyone there seems to have problems with explaining themselves. You should rewrite your rule number 1 to "don't play too good or even better than an admin or you will get removed".
Seriously, is everyone joining your clan for the single reason to abuse power once in a boring lifetime?

Thanks for taking the time to come to the forums. No one here is trying to make you feel uncomfortable, so I am glad you came to ask questions to sort it out.
The person who warned and kicked you has been in the clan for 2 ½ years and far from a random admin. I fully trust what he has seen and it would not have been ‘random’.
I personally don’t use the term spawn raping but when it is used, it refers to spawn trolling. You and I had a discussion about spawn trolling on the server earlier today and I told you it was “going to a spawn and then back over the same one time again”. At the time you were on the Backlot map and you were circling back between two spawns over and over getting kills. That is not allowed and I will warn you every time I see you do it - don't back-track. To summarise that Polo, if the admin saw you doing what I saw you doing he was quite within his rights to warn you.
Random nades are fine as long as they are not in a blind spawn....perhaps you did this by mistake. If you are not quite sure of where the spawns are, then my suggestion is not to nade or clay until you do.
No one at this clan picks on someone because they are winning. The truth is that a good player generally draws the attention of the admin just to check everything is above board so to speak. If you are not abiding by the rules you probably have a better chance of getting caught out. Please remember we are just normal guys....sometimes we are sitting in spec cycling trough the players, sometimes we are making a cup of coffee or taking to our wifes etc. Never are we just picking on one player for the fun of it.
Here are the full set of rules:-
- No racism of any kind
- Use of any cheats will see you permanently banned
- Please be respectful
- No recruiting for your clan, your server, or anything else
- No advertising or spamming of websites or servers
- Please refrain from excessive cursing
- Do not bind your 'fire' key to the scroll wheel
- Camping is allowed, spawn camping/trolling is not (claying,nading,tubing and rpg's on spawn are not allowed)
- Glitching, except for elevators, is allowed as long as the following is true:
- You can be seen
- You can be killed
