Obviously, there are differing points of view.  I can accept that.  Let's not get in a pissing match.

Let me clarify a few things though...

1)  If someone personally attacks (through language) another person they can be warned, temp banned, or perm banned.  Intent is key here.  If it done as friendly bantering/joking and it doesn't involve the biggie words we have decided to keep off the server, then it is acceptable.  If it is done in anger or personal attack, there are consequences.  As a matter of fact, if a personal attack happens that doesn't involve swear words, there are consequences.

2)  8th is very strict, to the point it is a total joke.  We are very happy to be a much different style of clan than them.

3)  It is hard to please all the people, all the time.

4)  It seems to me that the questionable language is not a daily problem on the server.  It happens a few times a week, perhaps.

5)  There are several names that could get debated and it is difficult to draw a clear rule.  For example, if you were going to establish a rule with no swear words at all which of these would be allowed and which wouldn't?  Examples:  penisbreath, pinktorpedo, buttsniffer, Rod Rider, Bigboobs, MyBiaches, Vagenis, LickmyLovePump, Slutslammer       Sorry, if I just offended anyone with those names.  But do you see the problem?  Where do you draw the line...it is difficult in my opinion.  Even if I can draw MY line about those names, it may not be universally seen the same way by very respectable fellow clan mates.

Finally, I'd like to say in all things try to have patience and flexability.  You may not agree with EVERY name allowed or EVERY name not allowed.  You may not be happy with EVERY decision leaders make.  You may not be happy with EVERY rule in FH.  But overall, I can't think of a better maintained server and forum, and fun group of gamers on COD4.  I'm happy to be here, even when I haven't agreed with EVERY decision made.
