I had to replace my MacBook.  I transferred the data from the COD4 Application Support folder but when I launch the game, it says the data is corrupt and resets my player data.  I've tried using the data from multiple back-ups and the result is the same.  If I have to start over again at zero, I may never play again.  I have a MacBook Pro running macOS Sierra.  Any suggestion is appreciated.

Assuming you're using the Apple Store version, you need your mpdata file:

/Users/[USERNAME]/Library/Application Support/Call of Duty 4/players/profiles/[YOURPROFILE]/mpdata
Copy it from your old mac to your new mac, into the same directory path. You'll need to use the same cdkey too, or else the file will become corrupted.

Aspyr has likely supplied a different cdkey in your download on your new machine. Do you have the old cdkey? If not, your mpdata file will continue to become corrupted unfortunately. :(
