Thanks for coming to the forums to discuss the ban I gave you.
I attempted to have a discussion with you in game and messaged you in the general chat a number of times and got no answer. I also used the scream function to display a message in multiple colours across the screen but still got no response. I reverted back to general chat and as nothing I tried was working thought the best way to have that discussion was to get you off the server and in a position to actually communicate with me. And hey....here we are!
I knew you were muted, but for your understanding being muted doesn't mean you don't have the ability to chat. A mute simply means each time you talk the server will issue you a reminder that you cant and if you continue to chat you will eventually be warned out of the server. A mute is used when a guest's conversation is not in keeping with the values of our clan.
Your reluctance to engage me in conversation tells me a number of things, one that you realise not speaking at times is in your best interest and two, that you have the ability to decide when and what to say. This leads to the nature of the mute and subsequent ban. In the last week or so you have facetiously and derogatively discussed sexual orientation on our server. There's no need for that sort of carry on and no place for it on the FH servers. Our server guests are entitled to play on our server and not be subjected to judgement, harassment or being made fun of based on their lifestyle choice.
We have 9 rules on the FFA server:
In-game Rules
- No racism of any kind
- Use of any cheats will see you permanently banned
- Please be respectful
- No recruiting for your clan, your server, or anything else
- No advertising or spamming of websites or servers
- Please refrain from excessive cursing
- The use of Martydom or Last Stand is NOT allowed
- Do not bind your 'fire' key to the scroll wheel
- Camping is allowed, spawn camping/trolling is not (claying,nading,tubing and rpg's on spawn are not allowed)
- Glitching, except for elevators, is allowed as long as the following is true:
- You can be seen
- You can be killed
In case you aren't sure, your conversation sits on "Please be respectful" with a hint of "No racism of any kind" - the later being intolerance and bigotry.
I want you to have a think about whether or not you can lay off the inappropriate conversation about sexual orientation. If you can, Ill unban you but you can live with the mute for a month. If you cant both will stay. So the balls in your court.
Apart from that chat you seem like a decent person. I want to be clear that I'm not trying to get rid of you, but rather trying to set expectations moving forward so you can continue to enjoy playing on the server and getting to know the people who play here. I'm keen to know your thoughts now I have responded to your post.
