WAS UP!!!!!, in case you all forgot about me it's mayhem!!!. Truly sorry for not playing, had to pawn my laptop and dont know when i am getting it back, but hopefully soon. But i need help. I did find my cod4 cd and i installed on to my pc. but i can not play online. when i select it this message shows up, " iw3mp.exe " shows up. Catch tried to help me the other day on skype but no luck. Can somebody help please. I miss you all and i want to get back in the game.

1: you need to plug in headphones and then enable stereo mix.
of that does not work
2: you should search the web (primarily Realtek website) for latest Realtek AC'97 or HD Audio drivers. Once I downloaded installed  restart, Stereo Mix popped up and you can enabled it.

I fixed the same error on my kids' computer by plugging headphones into the sound out jack.  Worked like a charm.

unzip it to anywhere on your pc , then when its unzipped install using the setup or install icon

i finally got it fellas, omg. @longjude ok i just need help with all my perks being available to me. in other words i need everything that i had, weapons

I was stuck with this error for a very long time as well. I ended up just plugging headphones into the back 3.5mm jack and it worked fine.
