Hey guys,  I'm considering the options on upgrading my current PC which is:

AMD FX6300
GT730
16GB (rip something ram)

Apart from that I'm spasticated so don't blind me with nm and the like :p

Whilst I haven't decided whether a pre-build or build your own is better, I am interested in thoughts on CPU and GPU's.  Looking on my local website www.trademe.co.nz there are all sorts of CPUs such as I5, I7 and Ryzen which seem interesting, and GPUs such as RX series and GTX 1050TI and GTX 1060's.

As I am based in NZ my ping is usually around the 200 mark, so Im trying to find something that will boost the game.  Can anyone make any suggestions or at least put out there what their PC build is.

No hard drive because I didn't have enough money for it so I just settled with an ssd as I only play counterstrike/cod4/league of legends.
I'm using an ethernet connection so I didn't get a wifi chip.
You'll need to get a display port if you want to play with 144hz.
I went with the amd card because I figured if i ever wanted to upgrade I could just get another one and dual card, but in hindsight I probably would have gone with the GTX 1060 (very comparable cards) just because of the nvidia recording system.

You probably know all of this stuff already but I figured I would throw in some pointers as these are the things that I learned after building my pc a couple months ago.

Hey Commando - thank you so much for sharing your build and your insight.  Ill go home tonight and look at the cost of the parts.  Even though its US dollars it might be within my budget

what is you're Budget ? 

About 1 - 1.5K NZ.  I was looking on www.trademe.co.nz for pre-builds then looking at parts and considering a build your own.  I have IT background and my current MOBO crapped itself and I replaced it with little or no fuss

oooo thats a good budget .. build a nice gaming rig for that
