I have horrible connection issues with the FA1 server, my ISP has done  line testing and found no problems,  and I have spec's Rezo and his connection showed going nuts with Interruptions and I switch to someone else no problems. any ideas

Americans play to win at all times. I wouldn't give a hoot and hell for a man who lost and laughed. That's why Americans have never lost nor ever will lose a war.

Hi SGT

Not sure about your own specific problems - but Reznov (I think that is who you are referring to) connects from Russia and has a ping of 300 - 340.

I ping my nic 127.0.0.1 no problems
I ping google.com no problems
I ping the FA1 server 64.94.101.157 no problems
cox has done a line test no problems

I login to FA1 and start playing a game that eventually the connection interrupts become so bad that I can't move/play

any ideas

Maybe a stupid question, but  better safe then sorry>

If I you a sniffing tool like wireshark to try and figure out what the issue is with my connection ONLY when playing COD, could that result in a ban, I have read on forums that some users are complaining about being banned.

I have not tried playing on a different server and see if the same connection interrupts happen

LOL went on to Battle Group Clan server no problems and got my FIRST BAN for mentioning it in the game on FFA1, well learned that lesson quickly

No you're fine, the fact that you were banned elsewhere for mentioning wireshark is hilarious though!

As for your connection, try running a MTR when you're having the connection problems and report back with the results.

Who owns the gateway at 10.36.112.1, you or Cox? Can't tell since it's still an internal address, but if I had to guess your issues may be occurring between the first and second hop.

I would try running the same test against some big name hosts, such as Google and Amazon, to see if you experience the same rates of packet loss.
