Apparently, I have to spell it out to {fh}livewire who is so sensitive that he decided to throw a knee-jerk ban, without a warning, for a comment I made involving race. Perhaps simply because race was mentioned.

Ok, so context: a few of us were speccing awdy being impressed by his skills. In the vein of being impressed with them and speculating on who this godlike player was I said "he must be asian, only this skill can come from asian obsessiveness". BAM! Insta-ban. A hair trigger pull on {fh}livewire's ban-gun.

Guess what? Obsessiveness IS a CULTURAL trait of CHINESE, JAPANESE, and KOREAN societies. In Japan they have a word for it 'OTAKU' which means something along the lines of an 'OBSESSIVE FAN' of something. The Japanese also have a word for appreciation for someone who dedicates his life to an art or skill and becomes a master at it. The South Koreans are KNOWN for being obsessive Starcraft 2 Players.

So...white guilt? I suspect that's it. Censoring any tounge-in-cheek observations like the one I made is in itself racist. This is because it suppresses the idea that we all come from different places and instead opts for a more "comfortable" ignoring of our cultural backgrounds/differences wiping the slate clean and suppressing identity. Yes, what I said was a JOKE and no it wasn't promoting a STERYOTYPE because OBSESSIVELY getting good at skills is a cultural trait in the Asian countries that I mentioned.

Box? I was replying to livewires comment saying I agreed that steryotypes are bad and they put people into a metaphorical "box", I wasn't referring to the server being a "box" (bubble?) which sounds like what you were thinking I was saying..

This is my argument for why I wasn't breaking a rule, but yes I do respect that the one who pays for the server uptime can arbitrarily boot whoever he wants. I figured I'd appeal to reason before moving onto another server (apparently it's a temp ban).

I also cant speak for Wilma, he will have to come here to explain his actions. However, i agree that an instant ban or kick seems to be entirely uncalled for. While we deliberate amongts ourselves, we will be looking at the recorded chat logs to get a better understanding of what happened.

Long story short, you are more than welcome to continue playing on our server. Play nice, have fun, and be courteous to your fellow guests and you will have nothing but the support of the admin team.

Thanks, I appreciate the reply! I enjoy FH a lot and made the OP thinking I was perma banned. I come to have fun and for the enjoyment of the game. I appreciate skill and was in awe of awdy's playstyle. Definitely don't consider myself that negative of a person and if I'm offending people I definitely won't make comments like that again.

Hey Keaton, it was me who banned you.  The reason being somewhat different to your position in your post.  You had been baiting Awdy for some time calling him out about cheating and then moved onto talking about his "race".  I wanted to shut you down there and then.

FH provide servers with as few rules as possible to cater for players of all levels - novices to experts to insane players.  If you think that anyone is not following the rules on the server, please feel free to submit a demo to our forums for review.  Please do not provoke or call our other players as we then need to step in.

I have un-banned you so you are free to play on the server again.

Thanks for the unban. I do think I'm being taken out of context, though. There were 2 guys accusing him of cheating and them and I were spectating Awdy and that's why I said "I'm pretty sure he's legit, just saying", "nothing wrong with being good", "Why would someone use an aimbot yet creatively jump around the map?"; etc. I would say this is DEFENDING him not trying to bait him.

I was trying to get him to talk considering I'd never seen him play before and two guys were going on and on about him being an aimbotter (as I'm sure you remember) and they were somewhat convincing me considering he scored 100 points when the next guy had less then half that. I was genuinely curious if he talked or not considering he was dead silent as those guys (I didn't join in the aimbotting talk 'til later) were going on and on about him. The above comments aren't sarcastic and I genuinely think it's fun to watch him creatively hop around the map.

That said, glad to come back.

I am not sure what the Asian comments are about and don't care.... But Awdy is a constant disruption in this clan. I refuse to play with him.
