Hey Gloss

Thanks for coming here to address your ban.  First off let me say that when you request an unban you should do so in a truthful manner as your aim is to be allowed to play on a server that you are a guest and subject to the server rules.

The server rules for FFA are as follows:
In-game Rules
- No racism of any kind
- Use of any cheats will see you permanently banned
- Please be respectful
- No recruiting for your clan, your server, or anything else
- No advertising or spamming of websites or servers
- Please refrain from excessive cursing
- The use of Martydom or Last Stand is NOT allowed
- Do not bind your 'fire' key to the scroll wheel
- Camping is allowed, spawn camping/trolling is not (claying,nading,tubing and rpg's on spawn are not allowed)
- Glitching, except for elevators, is allowed as long as the following is true:
             - You can be seen
             - You can be killed

Now from what you have said, you were complaining about how a game mode was affecting your ping....but that's not actually true at all...….because your chat history is as follows:

So you did your shoutout and then either left because (a) I was set to ban you for a shorter period of time, or (b) because you sought to advertise and get players onto another server. 

I don't really care which one it was (a), (b), or even a (c), (d) or even (e).  You cannot advertise or promote other servers when playing on the server you are a guest on.  So for the remaining six days of your ban maybe you could try the same technique on other servers and see what it results in.  After the 7 days of your deserved ban (due to advertising and then lying about the matter) you are welcome to rejoin our server but there is an expectation that you will follow the above rules.  If you are able to do that you will be able to play with a great bunch of people who play on our server for the simple rules we employ.  If you don't, then the next 6 days will show you the rest of the community resources available for you to play.

** Major apology **

Thanks to another clan member for putting me straight on this one.  Linux gamemode is not a server - its an operating system for the optimization of the game.  So gloss did not advertise another server in game but was noting the implementation of software to increase his performance of the game.

Gloss - I have unbanned you as you were unjustly banned.  I cannot apologise enough for not only making the error in the first place but then packaging it in a way that put you in a bad light.  I have left those posts as they are simply because I think its fair that this plays out how it should with me being an ass (x1000).

Us admins are only trying to uphold the rules and fairness in our servers but we screw up too from time to time.
